Many congratulations to Joanne and Richard on their marriage!
As they will be away on their honeymoon next week I suggest we organise ourselves to harvest our own veg. The obvious approach is for delivery groups to make arrangements amongst themselves (by email, text, on the forum or whatever). I envisage a few people from each group going up to the farm on their usual delivery/collection day and harvesting for their group.
Joanne will leave sacks of potatoes etc. that can be harvested in advance, but the remainder would need to be picked fresh. In theory it shouldn't take too long and could be done after work and before dark!
This is just an idea. What do people think? Any suggestions?!

many thanks, Tom!
Steve Marsden has kindly offered to coordinate this - and I believe he is thinking along similar lines. Some people aren't in delivery groups, in particular there is no-one in a delivery group on Friday, but individuals come to collect their boxes from the farm or my home.

People doing their own collection days makes sense, but the main thing is that every day is covered or some people are not going to get their veg that week. I was planning to be up at the farm to do the Wednesday boxes (which is my delivery day) and Angelika has said she hopes to be there too. Can we use the Harvesting Rota which Joanne set up a few weeks ago: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1SgkAP-4eOCgNhQHbhRN1kF_Ff00riB2Xc6P0bB7swdo/edit?hl=en_US
(hope that link works, otherwise see Joanne's e-mail to us of 6 Sept.)Monday, Tuesday & Wednesday seem to be OK, but no names are down for Thurs & Friday so they urgently need volunteers!

Hi guys
I can't edit the document on the link Lucy sent - think it needs to be shared with us all first.
Anyway, to keep arrangements as simple as possible, I suggest that by the end of this week we either plan to harvest for ourselves or ask someone else to harvest for us. Hope that's OK for everyone. Several members don't use this forum, so I'll ask Joanne to forward an email explaining the arrangements.
Cheers

hi all,
I've now made the harvesting rota document https://docs.google.com/document/d/1SgkAP-4eOCgNhQHbhRN1kF_Ff00riB2Xc6P0bB7swdo/edit?hl=en_US publicly avaiable.
I agree with Steve that people should be responsible for their own box next week - but can ask someone else nicely to harvest for them!
I think the distibution groups will be alright - I'm more concerned about the individuals who usually collect their boxes from my home.
cheers,

Hi yes I am happy with harvesting for myself-but will be equally as happy to harvest for anyone who cannot do their own on the Monday.

Sounds like we're more or less covered. If anyone spends a significant amount of time harvesting (especially for example Kazz if you're harvesting all your group's boxes on Thursday) don't forget to sign your time off on the list in the side shed.
