The CSA Calendar:
Members’ Annual Meeting in September
Oak Tree Farm Open Day in September Farm Tour open to all.
Bonfire and Solstice or Christmas Parties – our members’ annual celebrations. These have in the past included mulled wine, mince pies, toasted marsh mallows and lots more!
In Autumn/Winter each year – existing farm members are given first refusal on a vegetable share for the following CSA year 1st June – end 31st May. Any remaining CSA places are then made available to anyone on a first come, first served basis.
End February – the work commitment ends for members who have not signed up for a new veg share.
1st March New members and those who have renewed their membership for a further year start work at the farm for the new CSA year. The work dates begin in advance of the veg box dates. This is because we need time to grow the food first!
- Members Work Dates: 1st March – end Feb
- Members Veg Boxes available: 1st June – 31st May
End May – weekly veg share, and monthly payments, end for members who have not signed up for a further CSA year.
Before June 1st – details of how to pay for your vegetable share are sent out in the weekly farm email. You will be given the option of paying for the entire year in full or paying monthly in advance by standing order/regular bank payment. We will also work with members to set up veg box distribution groups where possible.
First week of June – new members and those who have renewed their membership for a further year start receive their first weekly vegetable share (veg box).
Wild Food Walk and Summer Party – these annual events take place for members in in May/June. On the wild food walk we use wild food ingredients from the hedgerows such as nettle tops to make nettle soup and elderflowers (if available) to make elderflower fritters! In the summer we enjoy a shared meal and a picnic in the field.
