Autumn at the farm
The season of mists and mellow fruitfulness! We've enjoyed some fantastic and colourful veg boxes this autumn.

Our autumn veg boxes have featured a fantastic crop of tomatoes from the new polytunnel and a real rainbow of colours including squash, carrots, kale, leeks, kohl rabi, red cabbage and various greens including Italian parsley. Ryan has been busy preparing the polytunnels for the transition to winter, and work party jobs have included lots of clearing, composting and maintenance of the no-dig beds, as well as sorting out the flower gardens now that the flower season has ended.
Meanwhile our new composting toilet building is taking shape thanks to the generous funding of our local councillor Stuart Lawson and the hard work and considerable skill of a small team of members.
We had a harvest gathering with delicious food and drink, pedal powered music and a fire in our new fire pit. We are looking forward to celebrating the winter solstice in a similar fashion with mince pies and mulled wine on the menu!
