Organic Gardening Course

Venue: The Oak Tree Farm, Rushmere St Andrew, Ipswich

Explore how to create a healthy and productive organic vegetable garden by really understanding the cycles of nature.Growing organically involves far more than simply avoiding chemicals in the garden! Joanne Mudhar and Tom Wilmot of The Oak Tree Farm show you how in this relaxed course.

We’ll explore:

  • how to care for the soil
  • how to keep your vegetable plants healthy
  • how to enjoy your own home grown vegetables right through the year
  • how to raise your own seedlings.
  • crop rotations: why they are a good idea, and how to do it.


We provide tea, coffee and biscuits; please bring a packed lunch with you. The course is held in a marquee on the farm. Please bring warm and waterproof clothes, including sturdy footwear, for the outdoor sections of the course, just in case! Just ten places are offered on this course to make sure that your questions are fully answered.
