Supporter membership

Supporter membership is for those people who are not able to spend much time at the farm, but would like to support The Oak Tree by contributing more financially. You’ll still be part of the community and always welcome at the farm at work parties or social events. You will receive an equal share of the harvest each week just like other members, and it will be delivered to your door free of charge.

We ask for a monthly payment, currently £79.72, and as a supporter member there is no obligation to come to the farm at all. An added benefit is that your veg box will be delivered to your door free of charge, as long as you are reasonably local to the farm!

Many of our members regard time spent at the farm in the natural and relaxed environment with other like-minded people as one of the best things about being part of The Oak Tree Community Farm. So supporter members are always welcome to join work parties whenever they like, and of course to social events.

At certain times of the year we occasionally buy in small quantities of local organic produce, but the vast majority is grown on the farm. We are not certified organic – because our members are directly involved with growing our veg from seed to harvest, certification is simply unnecessary! We never use any artificial pesticides, herbicides or fertilisers.

I/we agree that my contact details may be shared with other CSA members for the purpose of administering and organising the CSA. Your details will be stored securely under password protection and will not be shared with any other parties for any other purpose.

Harvest Guarantee *

I/we sign up to this project at my own risk and understand that although The Oak Tree Community Farm will do its best to supply consistent quantities and varieties of vegetables, there is no guarantee of specific produce or quantity. I understand that occasionally the weekly harvest may be cancelled due to insufficient crops being available to harvest or due to severe weather making the harvest difficult. Should I not require a veg box on any week e.g. because I am on holiday or because the harvest is cancelled, I will be entitled to a refund of £18.40 (the weekly cost).

Minimum Membership Period & Notice *

I/we understand that my membership is initially for the minimum period of 3 months and that after my first 2 months, should I/we wish to cancel my membership I/we will give the Farm 1 month’s notice in writing. Your membership will automatically carry on after 3 months unless you tell us you wish to stop it. If so, please give us 1 month’s notice.

Health & Safety *

When visiting the farm I agree to follow health and safety instructions displayed by and explained at the farm. I understand that while children under 18 are welcome at the farm, they remain the responsibility of their parents/guardians at all times.
