Meet the Harvesting Team

An essential job each week at the farm is harvesting and packing over sixty veg boxes. These wonderful members do above and beyond their work hours at the farm on our regular harvest days – Monday and Friday. With Ryan’s help and guidance they ensure that the best and freshest veg is picked and packed ready for collection by the rest of the members. They do an absolutely brilliant and crucial job, but most importantly they have great fun doing it. In all weathers they can be found laughing and joking as they go!

Veg storage tips

At The Oak Tree Community Farm we try to minimise packaging and maximise freshness. Veg doesn’t come much fresher, but it’s worth knowing a few handy tips for keeping your veg as crisp, tasty and nutritious as possible for longer.
